Exciting Improvements at Cantigny Golf

We’re excited to welcome you to Cantigny Golf as we continue making enhancements and improvements across the property throughout the 2026 season.

Clubhouse & Property Improvements

The Cantigny Golf Clubhouse has reopened as of Friday, June 5th with limited amenities as we complete additional phases of construction. While we're excited to welcome guests into our newly renovated clubhouse, the transformation at Cantigny Golf continues. As work progresses on our renovation project, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we build an even better experience for the future.

As part of this exciting transformation, we are also completing an extensive landscaping and outdoor enhancement project surrounding the clubhouse and putting greens, which will continue into the summer months.

As work progresses, portions of the property may look different from week to week, but we are excited about the vision coming together and the enhanced atmosphere it will create for our guests.

As we begin welcoming guests into the newly renovated Clubhouse, you’ll find a reimagined experience featuring elevated interiors, expanded event space, enhanced outdoor dining areas, and incredible views throughout the property.

Golf Course Updates

The newly renovated Lakeside Nine is open as of Monday, June 1st.

As Lakeside continues to establish and protect turf conditions during the early part of the season, cart restrictions may be adjusted throughout June based on weather and course conditions. These decisions are being made with the long-term health and future of the golf course in mind.

Known for its serene water features, strategic layout, and sweeping views, the renovation included:

• Complete reconstruction of all greens and tee complexes
• Refined bunkering to enhance strategy and aesthetics
• Select fairway improvements to improve turf health and drainage
• Continued irrigation upgrades focused on long-term sustainability

Additionally, construction on a new green complex at Hillside 6 will continue throughout the summer as part of our ongoing course improvement projects. During construction, Hillside Hole 6 will feature a temporary green.

Together, these projects represent an exciting new chapter for Cantigny Golf and reinforce our commitment to creating one of the premier public golf experiences in the Midwest. We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support during this exciting time at Cantigny Golf, and we look forward to welcoming you out this season.

Golf Rates 

Golf Club Rental 

Rental sets are available at check-in in the Golf Shop. Fees are $75 for an 18-hole set and $40 for a 9-hole set.

Booking Policy

• A 7% Illinois sales and use tax will be added to the golf cart rental fee at check-in in the pro shop on the day of your tee time.

• Reservations may be made up to 28 days in advance.

• Please note that a valid credit card is required to reserve your tee time. The card on file will only be charged in the event of a no-show or failure to cancel within the cancellation policy.

• Guests will still pay for their round on the day of play in the golf shop at check-in

• Reservations may be cancelled or modified up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled tee time without penalty.

• Groups arriving with fewer players than booked, or guests who do not show up for their scheduled tee time, will be charged a no-show fee equal to 50% of the reserved rate per person.

Rain Check Policy

Cantigny Golf gives rain checks for inclement weather on the day of play. If a guest has started a round of golf and lightning and or rain forces them to stop play the rain check will be issued according to the prorated remaining value for their round. For example, a player paying $100 for their round who finishes after 9 holes will receive $50 in value to apply toward future green and cart fees (still applicable toward green fees and cart fees only). Caddie fees will not be rain checked or refunded).

Dress Code Policy

Men are required to wear a collared golf shirt with slacks or Bermuda-length shorts.

• NOT PERMITTED: Tee shirts, sleeveless shirts, and shirts with inappropriate words or images.

Women are required to wear Bermuda-length shorts, skirts, skorts, capris or slacks. Women may wear sleeveless shirts.

• NOT PERMITTED: Tank-tops, tube-tops, tee shirts, and shirts with inappropriate words or images.
