Family Weekend at Youth Links

Growing up there were a few "stated once" rules given by my parents that my brothers and sisters knew not to break, family dinners being one of them. Coming from a large family, having dinners together was something that meant the world to them. They saw this time as an excellent way to share pieces of our busy days. At that time I didn't quite understand the importance. Grown now and with a family of my own, I have come to appreciate the value of spending quality time with family. Gathering for a meal, enjoying activities together, and sharing silly stories with my own family are memorable experiences we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.

These days, busy schedules leave limited time to create those long-lasting memories. To that end, Cantigny Youth Links is encouraging you to join us for Family Golf Weekend (June 8-10) to enjoy a few treats — and most importantly, time together!

Family Weekend pricing at the Youth Links is $10 for juniors and $17 for adults. As a bonus, hot dog and ice cream will be included with each green fee! Tee times may be made by calling our reservation department at 630.668.8463.

Youth Links Hole-in-Ones

PGA star Tiger Woods had his first one when he was six years old. LPGA's Michelle Wie recorded her first at the age of 12. Golf legends Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer have twenty each. I had my first and only one here at the Youth Links while teaching students on the course. What am I referring to? Hole-in-ones, or as some like to call them: "Aces."

The Youth Links has had over 112 hole-in-ones, with as many as 17 in one single season. We have just begun the 2012 season and already have another recorded. Hadi Shiraz aced hole 5 using his 8 iron and witnessed by Ahmad Shiraz and Sahil Patel. Congratulations Hadi for the first ace of the season!

Although the Youth Links has seen many, many hole-in-ones, believe it or not we have yet to have one on our first hole. Come on out and make a swing at it. Many believe it’s all luck — I used to until I got one!

Truly, a family who plays golf together grows well together!
